Arijit Singh is a popular Indian playback singer and music composer. He has won numerous awards for his work, including a National Film Award and seven Filmfare Awards. He is known for his soulful voice and his ability to sing in a variety of genres.

 

Singh was born in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal, on April 25, 1987. He began his music training at a young age and participated in the reality show Fame Gurukul in 2005. He made his Bollywood debut in 2011 with the song "Phir Mohabbat" from the film Murder 2.

Singh has sung for many popular films, including Aashiqui 2 (2013), Bajirao Mastani (2015), Dilwale (2015), Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), Padmaavat (2018), Kabir Singh (2019), and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020). He has also sung for several independent albums and released his own single, "Uska Hi Banana", in 2019.
